Cape Fear Cane Corso

Cape Fear's Bellina

Bellina is retired now, but we carry on her great Corsoness through Perceous, Mystic and Sadie(not yet posted). Bellina was one of the most intense, serious, intelligent, dogs I have ever had the pleasure of owning. I tried selling her as a puppy, but no one wanted a black female...thank God! I don't think there are many out there who could have handled this girl. She was/is dominant as all get out but submits to her family. She was/still is gentle with my daughter, who claimed her, but could catch anything with intense ferocity and the speed of light! Feared nothing and is the best guard dog anyone could ask for. She let people come into her domain, but let them know she was closely watching...

She has herded flocks of chickens, tracked, caught and held wild piglets through the swamp - not once using her teeth to hold...a phenominal intelligence that just can't be taught. She has enough bite force to pop truck tires (and she did, more than once). She guarded minature goats, bunnies and kept my children safe from snakes (and anything else) as they tromped thru the swamps. I believe she is one of those Corso that belong in the history books. And try as I may, I don't believe she'll never be replicated....(although, they have come a long way with cloning and genetics...hmmm...) I just can't say enough about this girl, she is and will always be my number one Corso.
